Nanaimo Community Hospice is a registered non-profit society dedicated to the provision of compassionate care and practical support to individuals in the last stages of living, to their caregivers, and to the bereaved.
Hospice promotes, and actively supports, a coordinated, interdisciplinary approach to hospice palliative care in our community. To visit the Nanaimo Hospice Website,
Volunteer, Gerry Gervais, uses the Hospice Shoppe van to transport donated items and recycled goods. This van was donated to the Hospice Shoppe by John Burke-Gaffney when our first store opened in 2006
How the thrift stores are helping to build a strong and healthy community
We are proud to state that funds raised by the Shoppe are supporting the Nanaimo Community Hospice in offering free programs and services to folks who are dealing with end of life issues.
See our Elders in Transition program on this website to find out some of the ways we are able to help.
Our volunteers offer a friendly shopping experience and are also available when you are donating personal items that belonged to a loved one who has since passed away.
It's clean, it's friendly, it's safe - it's a great place to shop and a good place to be!
